SuperGrok Payment Declined? Fix Grok Card Declined Errors and Pay with a Prepaid Virtual Card (USDT / USDC) — 2026

SuperGrok card declined or "payment failed" on grok.com? Why xAI’s checkout refuses cards (card country, billing address, local-currency pricing, balance at renewal, repeated retries), a fix order that works, grok.com vs. App Store / Google Play vs. X Premium billing, and how to pay Grok from USDT or USDC with a prepaid virtual card. Updated October 2026.

Short answer: SuperGrok, the paid Grok plan from xAI, is billed by card on grok.com, or by Apple or Google if you subscribe inside the Grok app. A SuperGrok payment is usually declined because the card’s issuing country or bank refuses foreign USD charges, the billing address does not match, the price was shown in a local currency and the converted amount came out higher than the balance, or the balance does not cover the renewal. Stop after two failed attempts, line up the billing address and balance, and retry once. If your local card does not work on grok.com, a prepaid virtual card bought with USDT or USDC, such as Pink Card from pinkcard.cc, can be used at checkout on your own xAI account.

Written by the Pink Card team (pinkcard.cc). xAI prices are public US list prices as of October 2026; tiers and prices change often and may differ by country, so check the amount on the grok.com checkout page. Pink Card fees are those shown on the purchase page on 2026-10-13. Pink Card is not affiliated with xAI or X.

What xAI charges for Grok

  • SuperGrok: $30 per month or $300 per year. This is the plan most people buy.
  • SuperGrok Lite (a cheaper tier) and SuperGrok Heavy (about $300 per month, the highest usage tier) are billed the same way. xAI adds and renames tiers often, so the names on the checkout page may differ.
  • Tax for your billing region may be added on top. In some regions grok.com shows the price in a local currency; a USD card is then charged the converted amount, which can be a few percent above the US price.
  • The plan renews automatically on your billing date. If the renewal fails, the charge is retried, and the paid features stop if it keeps failing.

grok.com, the app, or X Premium?

  • grok.com (web): billed to the card you enter at checkout. This is where a prepaid virtual card is used, and where you change the card or cancel.
  • iPhone or Android app: an in-app purchase is billed by Apple or Google Play and managed in that store’s subscriptions, not on grok.com.
  • X Premium or Premium+: an X membership raises your Grok limits inside X. It is billed separately by X. If you only want Grok, SuperGrok is the more direct plan.
  • Do not subscribe twice. Check the subscription page on grok.com and your app store subscriptions before paying again.

Why grok.com declines a card

  1. The issuing bank refuses the charge. Many banks block foreign online or recurring USD payments to AI services by default, and the checkout only shows a generic "card declined" message.
  2. Billing address mismatch. The country, address and postal code you type are checked against the issuer. A wrong postal code is a common silent decline.
  3. Local-currency pricing. If the price is shown in another currency, the USD amount actually charged is converted at the day’s rate. A card loaded with exactly $30 can fail on a charge that lands at about $31.80.
  4. Balance does not cover the charge or the renewal. On our own cards this is one of the two most common reasons Grok charges fail.
  5. Renewals on a closed card. If you stop using a card without changing the payment method, the renewal keeps being tried on it and keeps failing. This is the other most common failure we see.
  6. Too many attempts. Retrying the same card again and again, or switching between several cards in a few minutes, can trigger risk checks on both the merchant and the card side. Waiting is usually the only fix.

Fix it in this order

  1. Stop clicking Subscribe. Note the exact error text.
  2. Check the final amount on the checkout page, including tax and currency. If it is not in USD, allow 5–10% extra on the card.
  3. Make sure the balance covers that amount plus about $1 if your prepaid card charges per transaction.
  4. Enter the billing address exactly as the issuer has it, keep one stable network exit region consistent with the billing country during checkout, and submit once.
  5. If you subscribed in the app, fix the payment method in the App Store or Google Play instead; grok.com cannot change an in-app subscription.
  6. If it still fails, wait several hours before trying again, or use a different card.
If a renewal fails, the charge is retried on the same card. With a prepaid card, top it up a few days before the billing date. If you stop using the card, change the payment method or cancel the plan in your grok.com subscription settings first, so the renewals do not keep failing on an empty or closed card.

Does a prepaid virtual card work for SuperGrok?

We checked xAI charges on our own cards. Between May and October 2026, 16 Pink Cards held by 13 customers had 31 successful grok.com charges, most often $99 and $30, plus a few small amounts and $0 card checks. Some were priced in a local currency and converted, so a $30 plan landed at about $31.80. Grok bought through Google Play went through on 4 more cards. Of the failed grok.com charges, about 40% happened after the card balance ran out and almost half were renewals on cards that had already been closed; a few were above the card’s single-transaction or daily limit. So we cannot promise every card and every charge will pass; start with a modest amount and do not retry a decline repeatedly.

Pay SuperGrok with a prepaid virtual card (USDT or USDC)

  1. Open pinkcard.cc/en and choose an amount: presets start at $110 ($110, $220, $500, $1000), or enter a custom amount from $100.
  2. Pay with USDT on BEP-20 (shown as BSC or BNB Smart Chain on most exchanges; network fee usually under $1) or ERC-20, or with USDC on ERC-20. Send exactly the amount shown, on exactly the network you picked.
  3. Enter your email twice. No account and no sign-up are needed.
  4. The card number, expiry, CVV and billing address arrive by email about 1–2 minutes after the payment confirms (check spam).
  5. On grok.com, open the upgrade page, pick the plan, enter the card with the billing address from the email, check the final amount and submit once.
  6. Before the balance runs low, top up the same card. The number does not change, so the renewal keeps working without re-entering the card. Top-ups usually reach the card within about 30 minutes of payment.

How much to load (worked examples)

  • SuperGrok monthly: $30 × 1.2 (tax or currency headroom) + $1 per transaction + $2.50 monthly card fee ≈ $39.50 per month, so the $110 preset covers almost 3 months; with no tax and USD pricing it is $33.50 per month, about 3 months.
  • SuperGrok yearly: $300 × 1.2 + $1 = $361 at checkout, so choose the $500 preset; it leaves room for the monthly card fee and other charges.
  • Paying for a $110 card: ($110 + $10) × 1.03 = $123.60 in USDT or USDC. A $500 card: ($500 + $10) × 1.03 = $525.30.
  • Topping up $100 later: $5 + ($100 + $5) × 5% = $10.25 in fees, $110.25 in total.

Pink Card fees (as of 2026-10-13)

  • Card issuance: $10 one-time, plus a 3% service fee on (card amount + $10).
  • From the card balance after activation: $1 per transaction and $2.50 per month.
  • Failed authorizations are charged $1 too (at most 3 failed charges per card per month). Automatic renewal retries count, so keep the balance up or cancel before the card runs dry.
  • Top-up of the same card: $5 plus 5% of (top-up amount + $5), usually on the card within about 30 minutes. Full fee table: pinkcard.cc/en/fees.
  • Once the card details are emailed, the order cannot be cancelled, so double-check your email address before paying.
The same card can pay ChatGPT, Gemini, Midjourney, Suno, Cursor and API credits as long as the balance covers them. Check each service’s supported countries and terms before subscribing; Pink Card is a payment tool and does not replace complying with a service’s rules.

FAQ

Why does grok.com say my card was declined?

Usually your bank refuses foreign online charges, the billing address or postal code does not match, or the balance does not cover the final amount, which can be higher than the US price when grok.com shows a local currency. Fix those, wait a few hours after two declines, and retry once.

Can I pay for SuperGrok with USDT or other crypto?

Not directly; grok.com takes cards, and the app takes your App Store or Google Play payment method. You can buy a prepaid virtual card with USDT (BEP-20 or ERC-20) or USDC (ERC-20) at pinkcard.cc and use it at the grok.com checkout.

Does xAI accept prepaid virtual cards for SuperGrok?

Pink Card holders have paid grok.com charges on 16 cards, most often $99 and $30. Failures we saw were mostly empty balances and renewals on closed cards, and a few were above card limits, so it is not guaranteed for every card.

I subscribed in the Grok app. Where do I fix the payment?

In-app subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google Play. Change the payment method or cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions; grok.com cannot change them. Do not buy the same plan again on the web.

Is SuperGrok the same as X Premium?

No. SuperGrok is xAI’s Grok plan billed on grok.com or in the Grok app. X Premium is an X membership that raises Grok limits inside X and is billed separately by X.
