HeyGen Payment Failed? Fix HeyGen Card Declined, Understand the $50.47 Charge, and Pay Creator / Pro / Business with a Prepaid Virtual Card (USDT / USDC) — 2026

HeyGen payment failed or card declined? How HeyGen bills (web checkout in USD, billing managed through Stripe or Chargebee, App Store subscriptions handled by Apple), current prices (Creator $29 a month or $24 a month billed yearly, Pro from $49, Business from $149 plus $20 per seat), why our card was charged $50.47, how credits roll over, why cards get refused, refunds and cancelling, real charge data from our own cards, and how to pay HeyGen from USDT or USDC with a prepaid virtual card. Updated October 2026.

HeyGen payment failed, short answer: HeyGen (AI avatar videos and video translation) bills web subscriptions in USD. You manage billing in Settings → Plan & Billing → Manage Billing, which opens a Stripe or Chargebee page to change the card and download invoices; subscriptions bought in the HeyGen iOS app are handled by Apple instead. Creator is $29 a month, Pro starts at $49 and Business at $149, but the charges we saw on our cards were about 3% above the list price, so load more than the round number. A HeyGen payment usually fails because the bank refuses foreign USD charges, the balance covers the list price but not the final total, a high Pro tier or annual plan exceeds the card’s single-charge limit, or the same card was retried too many times. If your local card does not work, a prepaid virtual card bought with USDT or USDC, such as Pink Card from pinkcard.cc, can be added to your own HeyGen account.

Written by the Pink Card team (pinkcard.cc). HeyGen prices and rules are taken from heygen.com/pricing and the HeyGen Help Center (Billing, Payments & Invoice; credit-based plans; upgrade or downgrade; refund policy), checked on 2026-10-23. Plans and prices change, so the checkout is the source of truth. Pink Card fees are those shown on the purchase page on 2026-10-23. Pink Card is not affiliated with HeyGen.

How HeyGen charges

  • Free: 3 watermarked videos a month, no card required.
  • Creator: $29 a month with 600 credits a month; billed yearly it works out to $24 a month (“2 months free”). Creator cannot buy one-time credits; you upgrade instead.
  • Pro: from $49 a month with 1,000 credits. At checkout you can pick a bigger Pro tier, up to 100,000 credits a month for $4,300; the price rises with the credits.
  • Business: $149 a month for the first seat with 1,500 credits, plus $20 per extra seat a month. Extra credits are sold in blocks of 100 for $5, with optional auto-reload.
  • Enterprise: custom pricing and invoice billing through sales.
  • Upgrades apply immediately with prorated billing and credits added at once; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current cycle.
  • Credits: unused monthly credits roll over for one more month; annual credits build up until the renewal date. Cancelling to Free wipes the remaining credits.

Why was I charged $50.47?

The first HeyGen charge on our card was $50.47, exactly $49 × 1.03, and a second charge on the same card later that day was $30.90, exactly $30 × 1.03. The most likely reading is Pro monthly at $49 plus about 3% in tax or fees, and the second charge a prorated tier upgrade. That is our inference from the amounts, not a statement from HeyGen, so check your own invoice. The practical point: load at least the list price × 1.03, and more if your billing address attracts a higher tax rate.

Why HeyGen declines a card

  1. The issuing bank refuses the charge. Many banks block foreign online or recurring USD payments to AI services.
  2. The balance covers the list price but not the total. A card holding exactly $49 fails on a $50.47 charge. Across all merchants, 46 of the 80 declines on our cards in the last 7 days (17 cards) were balance or limit declines, including the single-charge cap.
  3. The charge is above the card’s single-transaction limit. Pink Card’s cap is $2,000 per charge, so a large Pro tier or a big annual plan billed at once is refused; pick monthly billing or a smaller tier.
  4. Billing address mismatch, or too many attempts with the same card in a few minutes, which trips risk checks. Waiting is usually the only fix.
  5. Some debit cards with 3DS can take up to 6 business days to settle, per HeyGen. If your account still shows Free after that, email [email protected].

Fix it in this order

  1. Stop clicking Subscribe. Note the exact total on the checkout.
  2. Make sure the card balance covers that total, plus about $1 if your prepaid card charges per transaction. Annual plans need the whole year upfront.
  3. Check the card number, expiry, CVV and billing address exactly as the issuer has it.
  4. Submit once. If the same card fails two or three times, wait several hours or use a different card.

Refunds and cancellation

HeyGen says payments are generally non-refundable. Purchases made on HeyGen or Google Play may be refunded within 15 days, reviewed case by case and possibly refused if many credits were used; App Store purchases go through Apple within 14 days. Subscriptions renew automatically. Cancel in Settings → Plan & Billing: you keep the plan and credits until the end of the cycle, then the account moves to Free and unused credits expire.

Does a prepaid virtual card work for HeyGen?

We checked HeyGen charges (merchant HEYGEN TECHNOLOGY INC. LOS ANGELES) on our own cards up to 2026-10-23 18:35 UTC: one Pink Card paid $50.47 on 2026-10-22 22:51 UTC, a second charge of $30.90 is still pending, and we saw no declined HeyGen charges. That card had already paid Grok, ElevenLabs and Hedra, and was topped up with $100 twenty minutes before the HeyGen charge. The sample is one card, so we cannot promise every card and every charge will pass; start with a monthly plan and keep the balance above the next renewal.

Pay HeyGen with a prepaid virtual card (USDT or USDC)

  1. Open pinkcard.cc/en and choose an amount: presets start at $110 ($110, $220, $500, $1000), or enter a custom amount from $100.
  2. Pay with USDT on BEP-20 (shown as BSC or BNB Smart Chain on most exchanges; network fee usually under $1) or ERC-20, or with USDC on ERC-20. Send exactly the amount shown, on exactly the network you picked.
  3. Enter your email twice. No account and no sign-up are needed.
  4. The card number, expiry, CVV and billing address arrive by email about 1–2 minutes after the payment confirms (check spam).
  5. In HeyGen, pick the plan, enter the card with the billing address from the email, check the total and submit once.
  6. Before each renewal, top up the same card. The number does not change, so HeyGen keeps charging it. Top-ups usually reach the card within about 10 minutes of payment (30 at most).

How much to load (worked examples)

  • Creator at +3%: $29.87 + $1 per transaction + $2.50 monthly card fee = $33.37 per month, so the $110 preset covers three months.
  • Pro at +3%: $50.47 + $1 + $2.50 = $53.97 per month, so the $110 preset covers two months ($107.94); top up before the second renewal to be safe.
  • Business at +3%: $153.47 + $1 + $2.50 = $156.97 per month; use the $220 preset.
  • Creator yearly: $288 × 1.03 = $296.64, about $300.14 with the $1 fee and the month’s card fee; a custom $310 card costs ($310 + $10) × 1.03 = $329.60.
  • Paying for a $110 card: ($110 + $10) × 1.03 = $123.60. Topping up $60 later: $5 + ($60 + $5) × 5% = $8.25 in fees, $68.25 in total, enough for one Pro month.

Pink Card fees (as of 2026-10-23)

  • Card issuance: $10 one-time, plus a 3% service fee on (card amount + $10).
  • From the card balance after activation: $1 per transaction and $2.50 per month.
  • Failed authorizations are charged $1 too (at most 3 failed charges per card per month), so keep the balance above the next renewal.
  • Top-up of the same card: $5 plus 5% of (top-up amount + $5), minimum top-up $30, usually on the card within about 10 minutes (30 at most). Full fee table: pinkcard.cc/en/fees.
  • Once the card details are emailed, the order cannot be cancelled, so double-check your email address before paying.
The same card can pay ElevenLabs, Hedra, ChatGPT and Claude as long as the balance covers them. Check each service’s supported countries and terms before subscribing; Pink Card is a payment tool and does not replace complying with a service’s rules.

FAQ

Why does HeyGen say my card was declined?

Usually your bank refuses foreign USD charges, the balance covers the list price but not the final total, the charge is above the card’s single-transaction limit, or the billing address does not match. Fix those, wait a few hours after two declines, and submit once.

How much is HeyGen per month?

Per heygen.com/pricing on 2026-10-23: Creator $29 a month ($24 a month billed yearly), Pro from $49 a month (up to $4,300 for 100,000 credits), Business from $149 a month plus $20 per extra seat. Free gives 3 watermarked videos a month.

Why did HeyGen charge $50.47 instead of $49?

$50.47 is exactly $49 plus 3%, most likely Pro monthly plus tax or fees. Check your invoice to confirm, and load at least the list price × 1.03.

Can I pay HeyGen with USDT or crypto?

Not directly. You can buy a prepaid virtual card with USDT (BEP-20 or ERC-20) or USDC (ERC-20) at pinkcard.cc and add it to your HeyGen account.

Does HeyGen give refunds?

Generally no. Web and Google Play purchases may be refunded within 15 days, case by case; App Store purchases go through Apple within 14 days. Cancelling keeps the plan until the end of the cycle.
